Steel Plant Explosion

It is never a site anyone wants to see and workers always wonder how these types of incidents can be avoided. Not even the best coveralls, hard hats, safety glasses, boots or any Personal Protective Equipment can save you from an explosion. We have to give respect to all the steel workers, because without them the oil and gas industry couldn’t be built. Train rails could’t be built, cars and planes would not exist. Anything structural is usually made from steel.

The load, rigging and hoisting are minor factors conpared to the total weight of both cranes. They were obviously positioned too far on one side as you can see the barge tip as they bring the load over the middle.
